Programme design

Select stresses, samples and criteria with purpose.

A qualification plan defines sample selection, preconditioning, stress sequence, electrical measurements, failure criteria and the handling of anomalies. Testing may include HTOL, HTSL, temperature cycling, thermal shock, humidity, HAST/THB, vibration or mechanical shock as appropriate.

Test conditions are justified against the application and the selected standard. Passing a qualification test does not, by itself, establish a service-life claim or universal application suitability.
